I have conversed now for YEARS on the racetrack conditions from the East Coast to the West Coast and each track has it's own issues, Maryland has it's drainage issues and Santa Anita Park is using El Segunda sand - which just switching that out - would solve so many problems, but instead endless people just gaslight the hell out of me, and say it is not the sponge like pockets that get wet in the El Segunda Sand and just grab onto a horses ankles or hooves as they fly past at 35 mph and just snap their ankles or legs - leading to instant death right there on the racetrack as they pull the curtain up and carry on letting it happen to the next innocent and helpless horse and jockey.
Yet now someone is talking - about racetracks that isn't HISA or Churchill Downs or Stronach Group or Jockey Club or anyone w/ any POWER in racing, not the CHRB or the NYRA - they will ONLY GASLIGHT YOU and LET THE HORSES DIE THEY LET IT HAPPEN.
But today someone actually made some sense. This person goes by the Homie 2.0 on Disqus - and if they were nationally in charge of racetrack safety at least they would be the only person in racing that isn't sticking their head in their own sand - and getting kicked in the butt while doing so.
If Homie 2.0 were in charge of track safety nationally - the racetracks would not have horses dropping like flies and if they did he would call them out and hold them accountable.
THAT is what horse racing needed 4 years ago and never got.
Too late now. But I just wanted to point out again - how bad management got everyone here. Good management and good voices were out there all along, but the above mentioned regulatory agencies chose to silence and ignore them and let it happen. SO here we are and so it is. XOXO
Note: I will dive deeper into this - at a future date - this really needs to be well documented and researched and I don't have time in the near future - writing is only a hobby for me, and more pressing concerns to deal with at the moment.
